Osler's Node is a classified portal and ethical marketplace for the UK medical community. We were inspired by the legacy of Sir William Osler and his contribution to medical education. The site was set up to improve the working lives of doctors by finding innovative uses of the web to meet the needs of today's medical professionals, student doctors, and aspiring medics.

We hope that everyone in UK medical community from medical students through to consultants will benefit from this service. You may want to sell on old medical textbooks, advertise a course you are setting up, or find help with working abroad. We hope you will use the site to publicise your own ideas. If you are moving jobs, running an academic programme, or want to find out what your peers think of a e-learning course, this is where you can find the answer - whether at home or abroad, whatever your specialty or grade. About the Founder

Jamie Wilson qualified in medicine from Leeds University Medical School in 2002. While a medical student, he was one of the youngest finalists in the Medical Futures Innovations awards, when he developed a prototype for a handheld somnolence detector for use in traffic policing and assembly line monitoring.

Following completion of his house jobs, he worked in Melbourne, Australia as an emergency physician and psychiatrist. He then returned to the UK where he completed his psychiatry training on the Charing Cross scheme in West London. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and from 2007-2008 was an editor at the BMJ Publishing Group, in the evidence-based medicine division. He the founder and CEO of Osler's Node and is currently studying for an MBA at the London Business School.
